VDLC Solidarity Caravan with Locked Out BCAA Workers

The VDLC is organizing a solidarity caravan to support locked out members of COPE Local 378 at BCAA.

The caravan is easy to participate in. It will depart from the Maritime Labour Centre following the conclusion of our November general meeting. We will endeavor to keep the meeting to a reasonable length in order to ensure that everyone can join us for at least a little while on the picket line.

We will be picking up some supplies for the picketers which we will deliver, then we will walk to like in solidarity and bring greetings from the unions which are represented in the caravan. Feel free to bring banners or signs representing your own union. We will also have a VDLC banner and picket signs available.

We hope that you will make every effort to join us. The details of the solidarity caravan are as follows:

Tuesday, November 17
Time:  Immediately following VDLC general meeting
Depart from:  Maritime Labour Centre, 1880 Triumph St.
Travel to:   COPE Local 378 picket lines, 5590 Goring St.

In solidarity,

Stephen Von Sychowski

Chair, VDLC Solidarity in Action Committee
