Protect DTES Workers and Residents

The VDLC has been convening discussions amongst unions representing front-line Community Health and Community Social Services workers and liaising with government regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and the DTES.
This letter has been sent to Premier John Horgan, Minister of Labour Harry Bains, and Mayor Kennedy Stewart regarding the needs of workers in the DTES to be safe, and help keep the community safe. We will continue to work on these issues and others related to the COVID-19 pandemic in the coming days and weeks.
