Elect Karina Reid

May 28, 2021

The Vancouver and District Labour Council has endorsed Karina Reid of the Richmond Independent Team of Electors (RITE) in the May 29th City Council by-election.

It is crucial that working people get to the polls and ensure the election of a strong progressive voice to replace Kelly Greene, who was elected as a Member of Legislative Assembly with the New Democratic Party last Fall.

Karina Reid will be that strong progressive voice, focused on addressing the inequities and gaps in services in the community which have been highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic and working together to build a stronger, safer, more prosperous city post-pandemic. She is a passionate public education advocate, who successfully spearheaded an earthquake preparedness program in Richmond Public Schools and ran for School Board Trustee in 2018 as part of the Richmond Education Party.

Election day is Saturday, May 29, with advance polls on May 15, 19, 20, and 22 as well as a mail-in ballot option. Voting information is available here.

Thank you for supporting Karina Reid for Richmond City Council.
