In Fall 2026, elections will be held for mayors, city councils, and school boards across British Columbia. Are you thinking of running?

The New Westminster & District Labour Council, and the Vancouver & District Labour Council are partnering to host two training sessions for union members who are considering running for office.

The basic, introductory training sessions will cover what to expect as a new candidate, message development, staying on message, public speaking techniques, and more.

Basic Training for Women & Gender Diverse Candidates
Date: Saturday, October 25, 2025
*Participants must identify as a Woman or Gender Diverse to attend this event
Time: 9AM – 2PM
Location: USW District 3 Office, #300 – 3920 Norland Avenue, Burnaby
Cost: $25 (lunch and refreshment included)
