Let’s End Period Poverty

March 2, 2020

The Period Promise campaign has been scoring one success after another over the past year, and now there is an opportunity for another big win in the City of Vancouver.

At next week’s City Council meeting, a motion will be coming forward for free menstrual products to be made available for those who need them at city facilities in order to help address period poverty. We encourage Council to pass this motion.

The VDLC has been proud to support Period Promise since its launch and to have supported its predecessor, Tampon Tuesday as well.

The meeting agenda and other information for the March 10 Council meeting will be posted HERE closer to the date. Please consider contacting Mayor and Council, writing a letter to the editor, or signing up to speak at the meeting to show your support!
