Letter to YVR Janitors from YVR Joint Union Committee

August 18, 2021

The VDLC, and several unions representing workers at Vancouver International Airport (YVR), are speaking out in support of janitors at the airport unionizing with Service Employees International Union Local 2.

A link to PDF of the letter, which is being distributed by SEIU Local 2 to janitors at YVR, can be found below. The janitorial workers at YVR are presently non-union, and are facing a contract flip that put their job security in question. The VDLC believes all workers need a union, and strongly supports this organizing effort.
