Time to Fundamentally Reassess Canadian Foreign Policy

September 16, 2020

The VDLC endorses the open letter “Time to Fundamentally Reassess Canadian Foreign Policy” issued by the Canadian Foreign Policy Institute.

The letter notes that there has been no formal review of Canadian foreign policy in fifteen years, and calls policies which would position Canada as a force for peace and human rights in the world.

It has quickly gathered a wealth of endorsements by a wide array of progressive public figures and politicians such as Stephen Lewis, Naomi Klein, David Suzuki, Niki Ashton, Linda McQuaig, Alexandre Boulerice, Libby Davies, as well as many organizational endorsers.

The letter can be viewed, and endorsed, on the Canadian Foreign Policy Institute website.
