Period Promise Campaign

May 6, 2021

Please contribute to this year’s Period Promise campaign.

For many years, the VDLC has participated in the United Way’s Period Promise campaign, by collecting period products at meetings and events.

Unfortunately, period poverty is much more common in our community than you would think. Half of all people who menstruate say that they have struggled to purchase product for themselves at some time in their life, and more than a quarter have gone through a period without having any products to support them.

Learn more HERE.

The Period Promise campaign seeks to address this by providing immediate access to products for those who need them while also advocating for the societal changes necessary to make period poverty a thing of the past.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our Period Promise campaign looks different this year. Rather than collecting product we are asking for financial contributions. All contributions will go directly to purchase product for those who need it. Contributions of any size are greatly appreciated.

The campaign will be active from May 6-20.

Thank you for helping make period poverty history.
