Petition to ban PFAS

The VDLC endorses the parliamentary petition, initiated by President Todd Schierling of the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Association, and sponsored by MP Peter Julian (New Westminster-Burnaby), to have a motion tabled in the House of Commons to ban harmful PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) in personal protective equipment (PPE) and suppression foam utilized by fire fighters.
