Stand with Hanjin Workers!

March 5, 2019

Workers facing job losses at Hanjin Shipyards in the Philippines are continuing to be denied their entitlements, as the employer attempt to cajole them into signing “voluntary resignation” letters which exempt them from separation pay entitlements.

VDLC continues to support Hanjin workers and their union, SAMAHAN, part of Workers for People’s Liberation, which we work in solidarity with through our adopt an organizer program. We have written to Secretary Silvestre Bello at the Department of Labour and Employment to support the union’s demands.
