We are proud to welcome Service Employees’ International Union, Local 2, as the most recent affiliate to the Vancouver & District Labour Council!

SEIU Local 2 represents over 18,000 members working in a wide variety of sectors across Canada. Locally, they are perhaps best known for their Justice for Janitors campaign which has seen many successes in recent years, including the recent unionization of janitors at Vancouver International Airport.

Local 2’s affiliation was approved by the unanimous vote of labour council delegates at our May 19th, 2022, regular meeting.
